Terms of use
In short
WizeFile is a free service with no account and no limits, and all its processing happens in your browser. Your files are never sent to us: we know nothing about them and can do nothing with them. In return, the tools are provided as they are, with no guarantee of results.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the WizeFile website, available at wizefile.com, and of all the tools it offers.
They supplement the legal notice, which identifies the publisher, and the privacy policy, which describes how data is processed.
Acceptance
Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, simply do not use the site: since there is no sign-up, there is nothing to cancel.
The service
WizeFile provides file processing tools that run entirely in your browser. The file you drop is read, transformed and handed back by your own device.
This has two consequences you should know about:
No file is ever sent to us. We do not receive files, do not store them and cannot access them. We therefore cannot retrieve them, restore them or help you find a lost document.
The quality of the processing depends on your device. A large file may fail on a machine with limited memory and succeed on another. This is not a malfunction of the service.
Free of charge, no account
The service is free. It requires no sign-up, no email address and no means of payment. It imposes no limit on size, number or frequency.
The site is meant to be funded by advertising. How this funding works and how your consent to trackers is collected are described in the privacy policy, and your choice can be changed from the manage my consent page.
Your files remain yours
You keep all your rights to the files you process. No assignment, no license and no right of use is granted to us.
What you agree to do
By using the tools, you agree to:
hold the necessary rights to the files you process; not use the site for unlawful purposes, in particular to alter a document with fraudulent intent; not attempt to disrupt the operation of the site, misuse its code or overload its hosting by automated means.
Since processing takes place on your device, you are solely responsible for the use you make of the tools.
What the site does not guarantee
The tools are provided as is, with no guarantee of results, of fitness for a particular purpose or of continuous availability.
Each page states what its tool cannot do: a conversion that loses quality, a layout that does not come through, a texture that is not carried over. These limits are written down before use.
Always keep a copy of your originals. Any processing started without a backup copy is at your own risk: we cannot restore a file we never received.
The site may be interrupted at any time, for maintenance or for any other reason, without notice or compensation.
Intellectual property
The WizeFile name, the visual identity, the texts and the code of the site are the property of the publisher, unless stated otherwise. The site also uses open-source libraries, whose licenses are listed in the legal notice.
Any reproduction of the site or of a substantial part of its content without permission is prohibited. Normal use of the tools, including for professional purposes, is however free and requires no permission.
Liability
The publisher cannot be held liable for any damage arising from the use of the tools, in particular for any loss of data following processing started without a backup copy, nor for any damage resulting from the site being unavailable.
The site may contain links to third-party sites, over which the publisher has no control and for whose content it cannot be held liable.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed at any time, in particular when an ad network is added or a new service is introduced. The applicable version is the one published on this page, whose date of last update is shown below.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction. This English version is provided for convenience: if it differs from the French version, the French version prevails.
In accordance with the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge to seek an amicable resolution of a dispute. Since the service is free and involves no contract of sale, this option is expected to remain theoretical.

For any question about these terms, write to contact@wizefile.com.
