How it works

Drop your document and the tool shows all its pages. Click the ones you care about, or type a range directly, such as “1-3, 7”. The new file contains the chosen pages in the document’s order.

Extract or delete, what’s the difference

None, technically. Extracting pages 1 and 2 from a ten-page document amounts to deleting the other eight. There are two pages because these are two ways of thinking about the problem, and the tool lets you switch from one to the other with the “Invert” button.

Is my file sent anywhere? No. You can check for yourself in thirty seconds: here is how.

Can I change the page order? No, the pages come out in the order of the original document. To reorder them, extract each part and then combine them in the order you want with the merge tool.

How many pages can I process? No limit. On a very long document, the previews take a few seconds to appear, while each page is drawn.

Is the extracted document lighter? Usually yes, in proportion to the number of pages kept.

What about password-protected PDFs? A PDF that opens without a password but forbids printing or copying is accepted as it is. If it needs a password to open, go through unlock a PDF first, if you know it: the document comes out intact.
